About Terrance

Welcome to my world—a world built on resilience, creativity, and an unwavering desire to connect people through the art of fashion.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, since June 30, 1996, I grew up in the care of my grandmother and two aunts. My mother, unable to raise my brother and me at the time, entrusted us to their nurturing hands. My brother’s cerebral palsy shaped much of my perspective on life. Witnessing the challenges he faced echoed deeply within me as the years passed, instilling a profound sense of empathy and purpose.

As a teenager finishing high school, I thought I wanted to become a video game designer. But the idea of sitting behind a desk all day without fulfillment didn’t resonate with me. Growing up, I had a knack for styling myself, even when my wardrobe was largely limited to the corny, pun-filled Jesus-themed shirts my grandmother insisted we wear. Styling around those was a creative challenge in itself, but it planted the seeds of a passion I’d later embrace fully.

In my early twenties, I picked up a camera to explore a new creative outlet. Photography quickly became a significant part of my life for six years, during which I specialized in portraits. I loved styling my models for shoots, and eventually, I turned the lens on myself. Self-portraits became a way for me to explore and build confidence, allowing vulnerability to shine through. These experiences sharpened my vision for styling and solidified my unique point of view, one that drew compliments daily for its individuality.

Then came 2020. The world paused, and so did I. My grandmother began dialysis, and I stayed home to ensure she was cared for after her treatments. During this time, I took an online fashion course, diving into the industry I had long admired. While I loved photography, I felt the city’s competitive scene pulling me away from the joy of creating. I didn’t want to prove a point; I wanted to make a difference. That’s when I decided to merge my love for styling with a deeper purpose—designing clothes to bring people happiness.

But it wasn’t just about making people happy. I thought about my brother, his physical limitations, and how fashion could transform how he and others with disabilities feel. My vision grew beyond aesthetics; I wanted to create inclusive designs that foster connection and belonging for everyone, regardless of their abilities. Fashion became my way to build a home, a family, a community—a utopia where everyone feels seen, valued, and embraced.

My journey is about more than clothes; it’s about connection, compassion, and creating spaces where differences are celebrated. Through my designs, I aim to be the bridge that unites people from all walks of life. The big goal is to enroll in Japanese language school so I can in turn enroll into a Fashion Design program in Tokyo.

Join me as I embark on this mission to reimagine fashion as a powerful tool for inclusion and joy. Together, let’s build something extraordinary—a shared love for fashion that brings us all closer.
